As
a Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR), Gordy Oliva is
recognized by the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders)
as demonstrating exceptional business integrity, commitment to
education, technical competence and a solid track record of
customer satisfaction. To earn the CGR designation, a remodeler
must complete a series of industry specific educational courses,
provide letters of recommendation, proof of licensing and
insurance and adhere to a strict Code of Ethics. Gordy stands
out by combining this professional approach and personal
attention while our team members and management work closely
throughout the project. This helps to maintain communication,
reliability and continuity.

Certified Aging in Place
Specialist - The Remodelors™ Council of the National
Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in collaboration with the
NAHB Research Center, NAHB Seniors Housing Council, and AARP
developed the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program
to address the growing number of consumers that will soon
require these modifications.
The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) was created to
help remodeling professionals meet the needs of 77 million Baby
Boomers that will reach retirement age in the first years of the
21st century are the first wave sweeping this new American
demographic tide. The CAPS program has been developed to help
remodeling professionals meet the needs of this burgeoning
market. CAPS program graduates are required to maintain their
designation by attending continuing education programs and/or
participating in community service projects.
Gordy Oliva Remodeling has been taught the strategies and
techniques for designing and building aesthetically enriching,
barrier-free living environments. The CAPS program goes beyond
design to address the codes and standards, common remodeling
expenditures and projects, product ideas, and resources needed
to provide comprehensive and practical aging-in-place solutions.

Founded in 1982, the Remodelors Council™
of the National Association of Home Builders represents and
serves the interests of more than 14,000 remodeling industry
members.
Building
Industry Association (BIA) is a professional association who's
membership includes builders, remodelers, owners, developers and
suppliers to the single family and multifamily residential
construction industry. BIA members number approximately 2,400
located throughout southeastern Michigan. We are affiliated with
the Michigan Association of Home Builders in Lansing and the
National Association of Home Builders in Washington, D.C. Across
the nation, our membership includes over 220,000 individuals and
companies.
NAHB
is a professional association whose mission is to enhance the climate for
housing and the building industry. Chief among NAHB’s goals is
providing and expanding opportunities for all consumers to have
safe, decent and affordable housing. As “the voice of America’s
