"Not So" Senior Remodeling

Though many of us may disagree, we are considered “older Adults” by age 55. And AARP accepts membership as young as age 50. Regardless, 77 million Baby Boomers have reached retirement age by 2005. The Remodelors™ Council of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in collaboration with AARP developed the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program to address the needs of these consumers.

senior remodeling contractorThe CAPS program has been developed to help remodeling professionals meet the needs of this burgeoning market. To maintain their designation, CAPS certified Remodelers are required to attend continuing education programs and abide by the same strict requirement as a CGR and participate in community service projects.

Gordy Oliva Remodeling is well versed the strategies and techniques for designing and building aesthetically enriching, barrier-free living environments. The CAPS program goes beyond design to address the codes and standards, common remodeling expenditures and projects, product ideas, and resources needed to provide comprehensive and practical aging-in-place solutions.

If you are looking for a remodeling contractor that is dedicated to making your home beautiful and in a professional manner, please call Gordy or Liz at 248.398.4783 or complete our online form.
